I just wanted to say I’m so proud of all the people “sharing” and “expressing” their stories. It’s tough. It’s completely out of our comfort zones to open up to others and put ourselves out there. Those of you that haven’t, no pressure, you’ll do it when your ready. Whether on social media or to a friend or family member, even just with yourself.
Why do we hesitate to open up about our anxiety? We instantly worry weather or not it will help or ruin our progress. Our brain jumps in an says “no,no,no that’s not what society does” we are all so stuck trying to fit into the view society says our lives should be. We don’t want to come off as needing shoulders to cry on because we are trying to be strong and hide the emotions. I have news for you, it’s not a shoulder to continuously cry on. It’s a one time event that will help you own your anxiety. It simply means we are human.
Do you know why you should open up about your anxiety/depression? because it’s your job to feel your anxiety, accept your anxiety, counter your perspectives, counter your feelings, counter the actions usually never taken. BECOME an excellent problem solver.
Begin the unfamiliar process of prioritizing you. This is what the life of anxiety sufferers is missing! It WILL come with resistance! It’s hard work. Step toward discomfort. Face those fears. To overcome anxiety we have to feel it. Change your daily habits and lifestyle. Your habits turn into your reality!
